Affordable Healthcare
At Wallsend medical practice, each doctor operates independently regarding fees and billing. Payment for consultations is required at the time of your visit and can be made using cash, EFTPOS, or Credit Card (excluding American Express). Medicare rebates can be electronically processed for direct deposit into your bank account, ensuring convenient reimbursement. We recognize that financial circumstances can impact health care decisions and encourage open discussions about fees with your doctor or our practice manager. Your health and well-being are our utmost concern.

Any fees are payable at the time of consultation by cash, EFTPOS or Credit Card (we do not accept American Express).
Your claim can be electronically transmitted to Medicare so that your rebate can be directly deposited into your bank account.

- It is a medicare requirement that you present your medicare card at the time of each consultation.
- After-hours rates apply before 8 am on weekdays.
- There is no medicare rebate for pre-employment or Insurance medicals.
- Workers compensation consultations are built at work cover approved rates. Patients are supposed to pay at the time of the consultation and will be able to claim back the whole fees from the work cover.
- Department of veterans affairs (DVA) patients are billed directly to DVA. Patients are asked to present their cards at each visit.
- Aged pensioners or health care card holders may be offered a discounted fee patients are asked to present their cards at each visit.
